Hi, I'm Samantha Marie.

Twenty years, one chair.

I started behind the chair in the Palm Beach area more than twenty years ago, back when "balayage" was a word most clients had never heard. Since then I have worked in busy salons, taught myself every new color technique as it arrived, and slowly figured out what I actually wanted: a quiet room, good light, and one client at a time.

That's Rustic Chic. It's a private suite inside New Creations Hair Design in Greenacres, and it is deliberately small. You are never double-booked. You never sit with color on while I start someone else. When you are in my chair, you have my full attention from the consultation to the last pass of the flat iron.

Color is the heart of what I do. Bright, healthy blonde that doesn't turn brassy in Florida sun. Balayage that grows out for months without a harsh line. Grey blending that looks like nothing happened. And color corrections, which are my favorite puzzle, because nothing beats seeing someone's face when the hair they'd given up on finally looks right.

I also do precision cuts, keratin and agave smoothing for anyone tired of fighting frizz, and bridal work, which I love because it comes with a deadline and a photographer. If you have a wedding coming up, book a trial early. We will get it exactly right, then do it again on the day.

I work with Paul Mitchell, Matrix, Wella, Redken and AG Hair Cosmetics, because I have used them for years and I know how they behave on real hair, not just in a brochure. If you have a product you love, bring it. I'd rather work with what you'll actually use at home.

Most of my clients have been with me for years, and most new ones arrive because a friend sent them. That's the kind of studio I wanted to build. I hope you'll come see it.

  A private suite means nobody is waiting behind you and no one else is under the dryer. The appointment is yours.

  Coffee, tea or something cold — long color appointments should feel like a break, not a chore.
